Susan McVie is awarded Professor of Quantitative Criminology

We are delighted to announce that SCCJR’s Susan McVie has been awarded a personal chair - Professor of Quantitative Criminology - from Edinburgh University's School of Law, as of August 2010.   As well as her role as leader of SCCJR’s CJ-Quest research network, Susan is also the Research Director of AQMeN, and a Co-Director of the Edinburgh Study of Youth Transitions and Crime .....

Having an Impact on Probation and Prisons

We are delighted to announce that throughout the remainder of 2010 Fergus McNeill will be acting as an academic adviser to the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in relation to the implementation of the EU Framework Decision on the supervision of probation measures and alternative sanctions.   Additionally, from 2010-2011 Fergus will be a member of the Prison Review.....
